CarPlay setup
Coming once Apple grants the navigation entitlement.
ORA does not yet ship a CarPlay layout. Apple requires a special navigation entitlement for any app that displays course geometry on the CarPlay map, and we have an application in review. This guide will be updated when the entitlement lands.
What's pending
Application submitted to Apple on 2026-05-01 to extend the existing carplay-driving-task entitlement to carplay-navigation. The newer entitlement unlocks CPMapTemplate and custom UIKit, which is what the ORA design needs. Typical Apple turnaround is 2-6 weeks.
What it'll look like
Pacing number prominent at the top of the CarPlay screen, course polyline + your position + rabbit position overlaid on the CarPlay map below. Mode-aware so it doesn't show driver-distracting info you wouldn't want in CarPlay context.
Until then
ORA on the iPhone screen works for any in-car mounting setup. We recommend a vent-mount or windshield mount in the driver's eye line. The current pacing UI is designed to be readable at a glance.
